The Strait Regional Centre for Education (SRCE) is a rural school board in northeastern Nova Scotia. With a geographic area of approximately 11,000 square kilometres, it governs 21 schools in Antigonish and Guysborough counties on the mainland and Inverness and Richmond counties on Cape Breton Island.

The Strait Regional Centre for Education (SRCE) is a rural school board in northeastern Nova Scotia. With a geographic area of approximately 11,000 square kilometres, it governs 21 schools in Antigonish and Guysborough counties on the mainland and Inverness and Richmond counties on Cape Breton Island.
The school board has an overall population of approximately 54,972. Of these people, 6,633 are students, and 463 are teachers. Approximately 60 percent of students are enrolled in buildings that are less than 15 years old. Ten brand-new schools have opened since 2000. All schools, old and new, are equipped with up-to-date information and communication technology, including wireless infrastructure.
The Strait Regional Centre for Education is home to the beautiful Cabot Trail. Every year, thousands of tourists come to Nova Scotia to enjoy this famous route, which Lonely Planet tour guides named one of the top ten road trips in the world in 2006. Activities enjoyed here include water sports, whale watching, camping, sightseeing, and more.
