About NSISP
The Nova Scotia International Student Program (NSISP) is a joint venture between the provincial Department of Education and the seven English Regional Centres for Education (RCE)— Annapolis Valley, Cape Breton-Victoria, Chignecto-Central, Halifax, South Shore, Strait, and Tri-County and the provincial French program—Conseil scolaire acadien provincial (CSAP).
The NSISP began in 1997 with one international student in the Southwest region. Currently, over 1500 international students represent 35 countries in Nova Scotia. The students come here to learn English or French, obtain high school credits, and experience Canadian culture.
