Application & Admission Producure

The NSISP only accepts students through approved agents like KW Edu.

The central office admissions team supports KW Edu during the admissions process. However, once a student is placed within a certain RCE/CSAP, all communication should be directed to the Director and/or Program Manager in that RCE/CSAP.

  1. Have the student complete the online application form and ensure all supporting documents are attached before sending. Incomplete applications will not be processed.

  2. Some students will require waivers to apply to the NSISP. Please see the attached and ensure that if your student has dyscalculia, dysgraphia, dyslexia, or a health condition, the appropriate waiver is filled out and returned with the application.

  3. Forward the non-refundable application fee.

  4. Upload page 2 of the Custodianship Declaration signed by the student’s parents or legal guardians to the Application portal. This document also needs to be notarized in the student's home country.

🔴 Once the NSISP administration receives a completed application with a fee, it will be processed. Incomplete applications will not be processed.

NSISP Administration

  1. Review the completed application and either accept or refuse the student.

  2. Notify KW Edu with either an acceptance or refusal letter for the student, including the student’s full name, date of birth, intended study period, and invoice. The letter will be uploaded to the agent portal and, if requested, sent by courier.

  3. The student is placed in one of the seven regional RCEs or the CSAP if requested. Students are placed on a rotation basis by country throughout the province.

  1. Upon acceptance, a notarized custodianship agreement is done and uploaded to the agent portal. Notarized custodianships are done within two weeks of acceptance.

  2. RCE/CSAP then places the student with an approved host family. The host family letter, including the name of the school the student will attend and the contact information for the host family, is completed and uploaded to the True North portal. Host family letters are typically processed by the end of May/early June for September arrivals and the end of November/early December for the second semester.
